spring makeup

Hello guys! I hope you’re all doing well in this new and slightly sunny weather. I’m so excited for summer, which is unusual because I’m a very wintery person, so I thought I would share my more spring-time makeup look.

The first thing I do when I do my makeup is powder my face with Rimmel Clearing Complexion Powder, because my T-zone gets quite oily throughout the day. I use a medium dense brush and put it on my T-zone, under eyes, and chin.

The next thing I do is to do my eyebrows. During spring, I’ve been going for a more subtle/feathery look, rather than the bold brows I had during winter. I use the Maybelline Brow Satin Pencil Duo, and lightly outline the outer edges of my brows, then fill them in with little strokes. After that, I use a small angled brush with the shade Pebble in Tanya Burr’s Perfect Brows palette, just to make them look more defined.

Next: contour. I go a bit lighter on this too, but spread it more towards my temples and mouth, so I look slightly more tanned than a piece of paper. I use Collection Contour Kit, and a contour brush from New Look. Then I use the sparkly highlight on my cheekbones, browbones, and the tip of my nose. I love this highlighter because it’s got the right amount of sparkle without making me look like a glitter ball.

If I have time/motivation to do any eyeshadow, I use the Barry M Natural Spring Palette. It’s got pinky tones that actually makes my eyes look decent. They’re really easily blendable, and super pigmented too. I finish it off with Benefit’s Bad Gal Lash mascara, for really fluttery lashes.

Lastly, I like to have a natural lip colour, so I use Benetint, or my Rimmel lipstick in Naughty Nude 700. Both of them have got just enough pink in to look like I’ve got stuff on, but not so much that I look like a five year old with their mum’s makeup.

Thanks for reading guys! I hope you enjoyed today’s post. Sorry it’s a day late, my mind was in many places other than my blog, but I’ll be back to regular posting next week.

Also, do you like the new layout? 😉

Beauty Haul

Hello everyone! I hope you’re all doing well! The week before last, I went into town as a post exam stress break and may have spent a little too much. I bought some other things (mostly pyjamas), but I picked up quite a lot in Superdrug, so I thought I’d share that with you today!

Rimmel Clearing Complexion powder (£3.99)

I’ve raved about this product way to much, but I was running out of powder so I thought I’d get something I knew I could rely on.
Garner Micellar Water – Combination (£3.29)

I usually use the normal version of this in the pink bottle but I’ve been quite oily recently and this said it was mattifying so I thought I’d give it a go.

Superdrug Hydrogel Eye Patches (£1.49)

Did I need 3 packs of these? No. Did I buy them anyway because they were on offer? Obviously. I use these when I’ve got puffy eyes, or when I’m having a relaxing night in, because they smooth out my skin so much, and I’ve yet to find a good eye cream that isn’t the price of a small planet, so if you have any recommendations, let me know!

Victoria Secret Pure Seduction Body Mist (£8)

Fuck me, this smells goooood. Imagine taking a bath in the black and red sweets in Sports Mixture (without the stickiness), and this is the result. I’m mildly obsessed with it already, to be honest.

Carmex Strawberry Lip Balm Tube (£2.69)

Oh how I love you Carmex. This lip balm is my favourite thing ever. It’s super moisturising, smells gorgeous, and has SPF15 in it, which is great for making sure your lips are protected.

Thanks for reading guys! What sort of posts do you guys want to see in the future? Leave a comment and let me know!

Favourite Festive Makeup

Hello everyone! I’m still trying to get my head around how the fuck it’s a week until 2017?? Like no thank you world. Anyway, to distract myself from the ever growing fear of dying and amounting to nothing, I thought I’d write a post on my favourite makeup to wear at Christmas.
NYX Liquid Suede in Soft Spoken

I don’t think anyone needs me to say, yet again, how much I love this lip colour. It’s honestly the perfect winter nude, not too dark either. I love it!
GOSH Forever Eyeshadow Crayon in 01 Silver Rose

Mmm my god, this is a holy grail product for me. The pigmentation is beyond words, and the sparkle is fucking flawless. Easy to blend, gorgeous colours, and not that expensive either.
NYX Mechanical Lip Liner in Nectar

This is just the tiniest bit more pink than my lips, so it works with nudes and bright colours, but you can still tell where you’ve lined and where you haven’t.
Makeup Revolution Highlight Brick

Honestly, a highlight sent from the heavens. You will literally feel like an angel of the lord in this shit. Fuck yes.
Makeup Revolution Contour Kit

Want cheekbones that are defined but not a different race? Here you go. I love this too much and I’ve used it every day since I got it.
Urban Decay 24/7 Eyeliner in Demolition

Honestly the perfect waterline colour. I always feel like black makes my eyes look really small, but I also like feeling like a rebel, so this is my new babe.
Thanks for reading guys, and happy Hanukkah to everyone who celebrates it!

Winter Lip Scrubs

Hello everyone! How are you all? I’ve spent all day today with my best friends YouTube and Netflix, so I’m not really complaining about that. I seem to have so much homework for the last week of term, like @ teachers – please kindly leave me alone?
Anyway, as it’s getting colder, I’ve noticed my lips getting chapped more, so I thought I’d share some of my favourite recipes for lip scrubs. For all the scrubs, just put all the ingredients in a small bowl, and mix together, then store in a small container. All you need to do once you’ve made them is slather them on your lips and scrub away, then wipe off with a damp cloth, and moisturise. These are some of my favourite scents, and obviously they’re all edible too!

Spiced cookie

2 tbsp brown sugar

1/2 tbsp olive oil

1/2 tbsp honey

1/2 tsp ground cinnamon

1/2 tsp vanilla extract

Candy cane

2 tbsp granulated sugar

1/2 tbsp olive oil

1/2 tbsp Vaseline

1 tsp peppermint extract

A couple of drops of red/pink food colouring

Thanks for reading guys! I hope you enjoyed, and leave a comment on what your favourite winter scent is!
