spring makeup

Hello guys! I hope you’re all doing well in this new and slightly sunny weather. I’m so excited for summer, which is unusual because I’m a very wintery person, so I thought I would share my more spring-time makeup look.

The first thing I do when I do my makeup is powder my face with Rimmel Clearing Complexion Powder, because my T-zone gets quite oily throughout the day. I use a medium dense brush and put it on my T-zone, under eyes, and chin.

The next thing I do is to do my eyebrows. During spring, I’ve been going for a more subtle/feathery look, rather than the bold brows I had during winter. I use the Maybelline Brow Satin Pencil Duo, and lightly outline the outer edges of my brows, then fill them in with little strokes. After that, I use a small angled brush with the shade Pebble in Tanya Burr’s Perfect Brows palette, just to make them look more defined.

Next: contour. I go a bit lighter on this too, but spread it more towards my temples and mouth, so I look slightly more tanned than a piece of paper. I use Collection Contour Kit, and a contour brush from New Look. Then I use the sparkly highlight on my cheekbones, browbones, and the tip of my nose. I love this highlighter because it’s got the right amount of sparkle without making me look like a glitter ball.

If I have time/motivation to do any eyeshadow, I use the Barry M Natural Spring Palette. It’s got pinky tones that actually makes my eyes look decent. They’re really easily blendable, and super pigmented too. I finish it off with Benefit’s Bad Gal Lash mascara, for really fluttery lashes.

Lastly, I like to have a natural lip colour, so I use Benetint, or my Rimmel lipstick in Naughty Nude 700. Both of them have got just enough pink in to look like I’ve got stuff on, but not so much that I look like a five year old with their mum’s makeup.

Thanks for reading guys! I hope you enjoyed today’s post. Sorry it’s a day late, my mind was in many places other than my blog, but I’ll be back to regular posting next week.

Also, do you like the new layout? 😉
